Merry Christmas from the Harsh Family!
YWAM Central European Leadership Team
We are excited about what is happening with YWAM Central Europe. It has been our joy to serve on the YWAM Central Europe Leadership team. There are 16 nations in the region. We hope to have the opportunity for a more personal visit to some of the bases in the spring. In February 2022 YWAM Central Europe will run a 6 month collaborative Discipleship Training School (DTS). Feel free to contact us if you know of people who may be interested. We learned so much from the Counseling and Member Care Course we took through the Narramore Christian Foundation. We are already putting to use the skills we learned from the course. To further our training we hope to be able to attend a Le Rucher Ministries Debriefing Training and a specific Crisis and Trauma Response Training Course in 2022. The cost will be about $1500. If you would be interested in helping to support this effort, in furthering our training, we would certainly appreciate that. It is another tool, to help those on the field.
YWAM Prague - Brave Art
It is a blessing to see how lives have been changed through the ministry of YWAM Prague Brave Art. Dance and spoken word productions were created which had life impacting themes. Great discipleship was done throughout the preparing and filming process as well. Themes looked at dealt with addiction, redemption and God given identity. It was wonderful to work with people from different churches and nationalities.
We are also blessed to be able to continue with ministry here in Czech. The yearly National Marriage Week and Family Ministry is still a big theme on our hearts. We will speak at the Marriage Course conference in January in Prague. Our Czech friends have done a great job in now running this ministry throughout all of Czech.
Many of the local churches are meeting in person with the option to meet on line as well. For sure there has been on line growth. The Czech church has started a new church plant in Prague. The one from a couple of years ago before the pandemic is also progressing. It's great to have churches situated throughout the city.
We are so looking forward to future visits to Ukraine next year. It has been hard not to see our friends there. We are praying for safety and growth for our Ukraine friends. We love the Ukraine and Roma churches there!
Christmas Outreach
This Christmas season we are reaching out to the poor. We have 100 string bags to give to the poor and homeless in Prague. In each string bag there are warm socks, gloves and a hat. We also added a Bible, water, snacks, and toiletries, along with a hand written Christmas card for each person. Some will go to the shelter that we have been working with since the pandemic started and we will bring the rest out to the streets to homeless men and women. We are also preparing jewelry and other gifts for the women and men on the streets in the Red Light District. We are so thankful for our ministry partners who helped with the donations and packing the items!
Merry Christmas / Veselé Vánoce
"For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end,"
Isaiah 9:6 and 7 is a prophetic word about the birth of Jesus, but it is also a prophetic word about His second coming when He will reign on Earth. When we celebrate Jesus' birth, we can also celebrate His gift of salvation. We can see the sacrifice He made to redeem us from sin and shame, then open the door to eternal salvation. That is for anyone who calls on the name of Jesus. Today, worldwide, there are more people coming to Jesus Christ than ever before in history. Many people are coming to Jesus through visions and dreams. As we celebrate Christmas let's focus on sharing His love with anyone who is open to receiving new life in Jesus Christ.
Thank you so much for your support in 2021. Because of your giving we have been able to share the gospel, and the great love of God with so many here and in other nations. Without you, none of our ministry would be possible. We wish you a Blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
