Christmas Greetings from Czech

December 29th, 2023

Dear Family and Friends,

As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are reminded about how He has been with us and has guided us through 2023. Your prayer and partnership has been an intricate part of our ministry of Building up and Reaching out this year.

In celebrating the birth of Jesus, this scripture comes to mind. Isaiah 9:6-7. "For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this." In this scripture you see the birth of Jesus, but also His second coming, which is the "Blessed Hope" for every follower of Jesus Christ, In His first coming, born of the virgin Mary, a helpless child and suffering servant, to redeem mankind. In His second coming, King of Kings and LORD of Lords who will reign in righteousness and justice.

Christmas Outreach in Prague

We lead a Christmas outreach to the poor and homeless in Prague. PCF joined us and the Christian International School of Prague helped donate items to give out as well. People were so thankful to receive warm socks, hats, gloves. hot coffee, Christmas cookies, tracts and prayer! We were a multinational team of believers with hearts on fire for Jesus and a desire to show His love in practical ways.

With the recent shooting that took place, at Charles University in Prague where 14 people were murdered and 24 injured many were in a state of shock and sorrow. It seems that everyone we spoke with were open to receive prayer and encouragement. We spoke with one young man for over an hour. After praying with him, we could see that the countenance on his face changed and the Spirit of God had touched his heart.

I also took part in an evangelistic outreach in the city center. Many were open to hear the gospel and receive prayer. There was a bit of a scare at one point after I left. The police and swat team came and had to use the sound equipment to clear the area because of a bomb threat. It turns out the grenade was a fake but it sure caused of tension especially after the university shooting.

We have been blessed to be used by God to bring hope to many in Prague during this time.

Please Pray

  • For the families and loved ones who were affected by the shooting at Charles University in Prague. The whole Czech nation is mourning from this event.

  • Please continue to pray for Ukraine.💛💙 Last night there were massive bombings. Cities across Ukraine were attacked, including the capital Kyiv, Lviv in the west, Odesa and Zaporizhzhia in the south, and Dnipro and Kharkiv in the east.

  • Pray for Roger's health. He will go to the hospital for more tests on January 15th.

  • Pray for Robin as she is preparing for her in person coaching training in January. The class is going well, and she is excited to to use what she been learning. What a great opportunity to serve people in Central Europe.

Giving Needs

  • An additional $700 is needed for the in person coaching training.

  • Additional finances are needed to cover ministry travel costs In Central Europe in 2024. As well as Ukraine, we will also be ministering in Bosnia, Serbia and the Balkans. We are blessed to have the opportunity to touch lives across the nations. Gasoline is around $6.50 a gallon here in Czech.

  • The Ukraine fund is still active to help support those in need!

  • We will be visiting the States for several weeks mid April to mid May for the kids University graduation. We should purchase airline tickets soon for that trip. We'd be glad to visit those of you in the Midwest!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

May you receive peace and joy from the Prince of peace, during this holiday season. We pray that you have a blessed and prosperous New Year! Thank you to all of you who have faithfully stood with us over the years and in 2023! We are grateful for each one of you. We so much appreciate your partnership. God has great things in store for 2024!
