Jesus is Born
Isaiah 9:6&7: "For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end."
Ukraine This Month
We were so thankful for the opportunity to bring badly needed supplies to Ukraine this month. This was the fourth trip we have made this year. I (Roger), along with Christopher and David, traveled to Uzhgorod, Ukraine to visit the Nehemiah ministry center and deliver supplies. We have had a long-term relationship with them for more than 25 years. The van we were driving was loaded down with thousands of dollars worth of non-perishable food. We also took power banks, flashlights, and batteries since so many people are consistently without electricity. The electricity went out shortly after we arrived, a common occurrence with the rolling outages caused by the war. Some of our meetings were held by candlelight. The border crossing went smoother than expected with just a 2-hour wait versus 5 to 7 hours.
The Nehemiah ministry center constructed a new warehouse to consolidate aid that is passing through their center. Nehemiah has contact with many IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) who they have been helping to support. Nehemiah has couriers who deliver supplies into Eastern Ukraine where they are so badly needed.
We were so thankful to spend time with Pastor Volodya and Pastor Viktor. They asked us to come back for a longer visit to minister to their congregations. We plan to return in the early part of 2023. Please continue to pray for us. Again, we are so thankful for how you have prayed and given to help the ministry in Ukraine.
Christmas Outreach
We at YWAM helped lead a Christmas outreach in Prague. It was a three-day event which we called a "Maranatha Christmas." We were glad to partner with several churches in Prague for the outreaches.
It involved sharing Jesus on the streets and passing out Christian tracts, Christmas caroling, dance performances, and giving 60 gift bags to the homeless. We had good discussions with many people during the outreaches, asking them, "What does Christmas mean to you?" All this was done to show that Jesus is the reason for the season.
Prayer Requests
