Jesus Has Risen from the Dead!!!

1 Corinthians 15:20-21 "But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead."

This is an amazing promise to us who know Jesus Christ. We will also take part in that final resurrection when He returns. What a joyous event to look forward to!

YWAM Central Europe

It was such a blessing to have Duane Flemming and Stephan Abuzeide from Columbus, Ohio, with us in Prague, Czech Republic, and Uzhgorod, Ukraine.

We were all so impacted by what we saw in Ukraine. The needs are huge - physical, emotional, and spiritual. The need for counseling, debriefing, or even having listening ears will be needed for a very long time, even for years after the war. We heard crushing stories from a group that had evacuated from Bakhmut less than two weeks ago. Soldiers came and said they had 15 minutes to grab documents and run out of their apartment or houses. A little while later, their homes were bombed and in flames. Like many, they came with hardly anything.

Our faithful friends at the local churches and Nehemiah, Family Of Christ ministries, and others are heroes. They work compassionately and creatively to see needs met. However you are able to, I’d encourage you to pray, give, and go. The air raid sirens went off twice, but they have not been bombed in Uzhgorod.

Before leaving Prague, we talked with Duane and Stephan to strategize how they can help IDPs (Internally Displaced People). The needs of these people are so great. Heat, water, and food are critical during this time.

As the result of so much pain, we have never seen people so open to receive prayer for hope, forgiveness, and healing as we have seen in Ukraine. There is hope because of Jesus! Thanks for praying with us!

DTS (Discipleship Training School)

We were invited to teach at a YWAM DTS (discipleship training school) in Budapest, Hungary. The DTS is a six-month discipleship training program for people, (many young people) who feel called to international ministry. The school consists of a three-month lecture phase, then a three-month outreach phase. The students at this school were from Germany, Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Our week-long session was on Hearing God's Voice, Intercession, and Spiritual Warfare. We included the full armor of God from Ephesians chapter six, as seen in the picture with our swords :)

YWAM Family Ministries

We attended the YWAM European Family Forum Ministry gathering in Budapest, Hungary. This conference was for those in YWAM Europe who are involved with Family and Marriage ministry. This year's theme was "Caring for couples and families within the mission." It was a blessing to meet with YWAM Family Ministry leaders that we have known for almost 20 years. We were encouraged to hear their stories of how marriages and families have been saved and built up throughout Europe, Ukraine, and Asia. We are inspired to continue to serve couples and families in the Czech Republic and other locations where we are serving in Central Europe and Ukraine.

Le Rucher Training

We took a debriefing course in Prod, Romania, with trainers that came from Le Rucher in France. It was an intense week of debriefing and training. We hope to be able to utilize this debriefing tool with many people that we are in contact with.

We have been ministering in Ukraine for more than twenty-five years. During the past year, we have had many people pass through our home from Ukraine on their way to many different nations in the West. Many Ukrainians will be helped by debriefing in whatever culture or language they move to. It will be wonderful for people to be introduced to Jesus Christ as their comforter who will bring healing in every part of their lives.

Prayer Requests

  • We still need $4,000 to cover Josiah's medical expenses from his bicycle accident and operation.

  • Please pray for safety for Roger during his humanitarian aid trip to Ukraine, ensuring no accidents and keeping him out of harm's way.

  • Pray for our evangelistic outreaches in Prague leading up to Christmas, hoping that people will be open to hearing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

  • We also ask for traveling mercies for Elizabeth and Josiah as they travel home to Prague for Christmas and for good family time.

  • Additionally, we are in need of a lightweight laptop for our ministry travels around Central Europe. If anyone would like to donate a used or new one, please contact us, and we can give you the details on where to mail it. The kids leave for Prague on December 13th. Donations towards purchasing it are also welcome.
